Hier befinden sich besonders viele Talgdrüsen, da dieser Bereich Umwelteinflüssen stärker ausgesetzt ist als die Randbereiche. Die vielen Talgdrüsen sind auch der Grund dafür, dass die Haut in diesem Bereich fettiger ist.
